Dorothy Minnie (Epmeier) Smith, 91, of Canby , Oregon , formerly of Evansville , Indiana , died March 5, 2005 .

Memorial services were held Monday at the Canby United Methodist Church .

Graveside services will be held on April 6 at 11 a.m. at Alexander Memorial Park Mausoleum in Evansville .

Dorothy was born on January 8, 1914 , in Evansville , to Edward and Minnie Epmeier. She attended St. John's United Church of Christ, graduated from Bosse High School in Evansville in 1930, and worked as a bookkeeper for the Medical Arts Pharmacy and Indiana State University-Evansville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kearnie Smith, in 1987; and a brother, William Epmeier.

Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters, Karen and her husband, Chuck Dempsey of San Diego , Calif. , and Sarah and her husband, Phillip Seale of Canby , Ore. ; a brother, Robert Epmeier of Evansville , Ind. ; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials may be made to Hospice, Willamette Falls Hospital , 1505 Division St. , Oregon City , OR 97045 , or to the Canby United Methodist Church , 1520 N. Holly St. , Canby , OR 97013 .
